Khartoum, Sudan, June 25, 2018 – The Honorable Ambassador Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Minister of Petroleum of the Republic of South, arrived in Khartoum and held a press briefing at the Khartoum International Airport upon arrival yesterday with Excellency Eng. Azhari Abdul-Gadir Abdalla, Minister of Petroleum and Gas of the Republic of Sudan.
The Honourable Minister Ambassador Gatkuoth expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the warm reception and hospitality shown by His Excellency Minister Azhari and his team.
The Honorable Minister Gatkuoth assured the press and affirmed the readiness of the Republic of South Sudan to ensure oil production resumes in blocks 1, 2, 4 and 5A. The two parties also affirmed their unwavering commitment and seriousness to see that oil resumption is realized in the shortest possible time.
